Is English Academy free, or do I have to pay?
Start for free with the level test, daily quiz, Word of the Day, and blog articles. The course Jago Bahasa Inggris dalam 7 Hari is also free through to the certificate. Only the advanced courses are paid, in the Rp149.000 to Rp699.000 range — one payment per course, with no time limit on access. There is no monthly subscription.
This is my first visit. Where do I start?
Try the free level test first. Answer eight questions in about three minutes to get an estimated A1 to C1 level and study suggestions. Then create an account to save your course progress and test results.
Are the certificates recognized?
This certificate records your completion of an English Academy course. Its unique code and QR let anyone check its authenticity online. If your university or employer needs an official TOEFL or IELTS score, you still need to take the official exam.
Is there TOEFL or IELTS preparation?
Yes. Our TOEFL ITP preparation targets 500+, and IELTS preparation targets band 6.5. Work through the material and exercises at your own pace. These are preparation courses, not official exams or guaranteed scores.
I am a complete beginner and basic grammar still confuses me. Is this for me?
Yes! Start at A1 with explanations in Indonesian. Try Jago Bahasa Inggris dalam 7 Hari to build a study habit with one short lesson a day.
How do I earn the certificate?
Complete and mark every lesson in a course as done. Your certificate is issued automatically at no extra cost. Open it from My Progress to print it or save it as a PDF.
Are there live classes with a teacher?
Courses are currently self-paced, so you can open lessons whenever you have time. Live classes are not available yet. For help, ask Pak Kis in the chat or reach our team through the contact page.
Who writes the material and the questions?
The English Academy team prepares material under the direction of Dr. Kismullah Abdul Muthalib, an applied linguistics academic at Universitas Syiah Kuala. Each article links to its author profile. Our Editorial Policy explains how content is reviewed.
How is this different from other English learning apps?
Learn with explanations in Indonesian, everyday examples, and step-by-step material. Your course progress is saved in your account, and you receive a certificate with online verification when you finish.
How do I pay for a paid course?
Open checkout from the course page to see the price and available payment options. Enter any coupon before paying. Your course opens after payment is confirmed. Contact our team if you have a payment or access problem.
If I pay and it turns out not to be for me, can I get a refund?
Refunds are not automatic because digital material opens after payment. Try a free course or preview lesson before buying. For duplicate payments or access problems, contact our team so we can review the case.
Can I use it from my phone alone?
Yes! Open lessons, take quizzes, and check your progress in your phone browser. You can also use Add to Home Screen in a supported browser for easier access.
How long should I study each day?
Try starting with about 10 minutes a day: learn a word and take the daily quiz. Fit course lessons around your schedule; a lesson usually takes around 15 to 20 minutes.
