Who writes our content
Articles and learning material at English Academy are written by a team working to academic standards set by our founder, an applied linguistics academic at Universitas Syiah Kuala. The writer's name and credentials appear on every article, because we believe readers deserve to know who is speaking. For now those names do not yet link to profile pages, and writer bios on this site are still empty.
The process before publication
Every piece passes three stages: writing from sources that can be accounted for, a substance review by an editor for linguistic accuracy, then a final style pass so the material stays easy for Indonesian readers to follow. Content that fails any stage does not go live.
Our rule on AI
We use AI narrowly and honestly. AI may help with early research and drafting, but it never publishes anything on its own. Every AI-assisted draft must be reviewed, fact-checked, and edited by a human before it appears. EVA, the chat assistant on this site, works on the same principle: its answers come from a knowledge base we compiled and curate ourselves.
Corrections and updates
Language lives and knowledge moves, so we review and refresh older material regularly. The publication date appears on every article. If you find a mistake, however small, tell us through the contact page. Corrections that hold up will be applied and noted.
Independence
Our learning recommendations are not for sale. If sponsored content ever appears here, it will be clearly labeled. Our mission puts education first, and this policy is how we protect that.
