Is English Academy free, or do I have to pay?
Everything you need to start is free: the level test, the three-question daily quiz, a new word every day, and every article on the blog. One complete course, Jago Bahasa Inggris dalam 7 Hari, is also free from the first lesson to the certificate. Only the advanced courses are paid, in the Rp149.000 to Rp699.000 range — one payment per course, with no time limit on access. There is no monthly subscription quietly draining your balance.
This is my first visit. Where do I start?
Take the level test first. Eight questions that adapt to your answers, done in about three minutes, no account needed. You get an estimate of your CEFR level, from A1 to C1, plus a recommended learning path for the goal you pick. After that, create a free account so your progress, streak, and certificates are saved.
Are the certificates recognized?
Our certificates are English Academy course completion certificates, not official examination results like TOEFL ITP or IELTS. Unlike a PDF certificate anyone can fabricate, ours carries a unique code and a scannable QR that checks its authenticity on our public verification page — so a recruiter or scholarship committee can confirm it themselves without contacting us. If your requirement names an official score, you still need to sit the test with an official provider.
Is there TOEFL or IELTS preparation?
Yes. We offer a TOEFL preparation program targeting ITP 500+ and IELTS preparation targeting band 6.5, both self-paced with graded material and practice. One thing we say plainly: we help you prepare, we do not administer the test, and no institution anywhere can guarantee a score.
I am a complete beginner and basic grammar still confuses me. Is this for me?
Yes — that situation is exactly what the material was designed around. The level test starts at A1, so even from zero you get a result without being made to feel small. The course Jago Bahasa Inggris dalam 7 Hari was built for that starting point, one short lesson per day. Note that the lesson explanations are written in Indonesian, since our learners are Indonesian speakers.
